Fun with Kathia: in the zoo

I slipped out for the afternoon with the sun on my shoulders and nothing but time. The zoo felt right, calm, a little wild, just how I like it. I brought apples and carrots and found the goats pressed up against the fence, soft mouths and quick tongues. Their lips brushed my palm while they fed, warm and greedy, and I laughed each time one of them found the edge of my fingers. In between their pushes I teased the strap of my dress, let the cotton slip and catch, then fall open for a breath of air. The flashes were quick and careful, just enough skin, just enough thrill. A few steps later and the dress rode higher again, the wind licking where it pleased. I kept feeding the goats, kept smiling, kept letting the moment stretch while my pulse stayed quick and steady. Every lick from their tongues, every hidden lift of fabric, pulled the afternoon a little tighter, a little sweeter.
