I came to the office to pick up my camera. Director Walton wanted to be sure I knew how to use it. He took his time, standing close, showing me each button, each twist of the lens. His fingers moved over mine as he explained the light meter, the shutter speed. He made sure I wouldn’t fumble a single shot. I need that camera because tomorrow I fly to Paris. Just me, a suitcase, and one day of work before two full days to myself. I already decided I won’t be eating the airplane food. Once I land, I want the real thing—fresh bread, butter, and a café table outside. I’ll need recommendations. Good places to see when the work is finished and I’m alone with my camera.
