Carla teaches nightschool, and the man who shows up is never alone with the lesson. His eyes keep sliding to her legs and the heels that finish them. One evening she peels off a shoe and passes it to him. The gesture turns heavy fast. He works the leather against his mouth, then against her skin, and Carla answers by pressing her bare foot between his thighs. She strokes him with the same slow attention she once gave the blackboard. Soon he is in her mouth, pushing past her lips while her other foot stays busy below. She takes him deeper, cheeks hollowing, and the air between them gets thick with heat and the soft sounds of wet skin meeting skin. She switches—mouth to hand to foot—until the room holds nothing but the two of them and the rhythm they find together.
