Party feet

She settles onto the edge of the bed and takes a slow sip of her drink. The glass stays in her hand while she reaches for the plain black heels waiting by her feet. She slides the first one on, stretches her toes against the insole, then sets the second one aside. Her free hand drifts between her thighs. She rubs in soft circles, letting the shoe stay on, letting the heel press into the carpet. Each small movement makes the leather grip tighter around her arch. She tilts her ankle, watches the way the curve of her foot fills the shoe, and keeps stroking. Her breath deepens. The drink rests untouched on the nightstand now. She presses two fingers deeper, still wearing the heel, still studying the flex of her sole inside it.
