Summer sandals

She kicks off her sandals. The sudden rush of air feels good on her skin, cool where it had been warm and trapped. She flexes her toes, lets the soles spread, and the sensation makes her breath catch. Grass brushes the arch of each foot, a light tickle that runs straight up the backs of her legs. She leans back, eyes half-closed, and runs one foot over the other, tracing the smooth line where ankle meets heel. The little motion sends a soft pulse between her thighs. She lingers on it, pressing harder, dragging the ball of one foot along the inside of the other. Each slide pulls a quiet sigh out of her. The breeze keeps moving across bare skin, and her nipples tighten under her top. Her hand drifts down, fingertips slipping beneath the hem of her skirt, and she opens her legs wider so she can keep the slow rhythm with her feet while her fingers move deeper. Her blonde hair falls across her cheek as her head tips back. She’s already breathing faster, toes curling into the grass every time her fingers press in just right.
