At the gym

A long-legged brunette drops her dumbbells on the mat and glances around the empty gym. Alone. Her sports bra clings to damp skin. She rolls her shoulders, then lets her hand slide lower. Tight spandex shorts are peeled aside, and her fingers work between smooth thighs with the same steady rhythm she used on the weights. Knees spread on the polished floor, she tests the strength of her inner walls, clenching and releasing while the silence of the room presses in. The exercise is slower than any set of squats, yet just as deliberate. Her breath shortens. A faint sheen breaks across her collarbones. She keeps going, focused on the tightening pull of her own muscles, savoring every controlled squeeze until her lips part and the tension finally snaps.
