Morning glory

Morning light spills across the sheets. She stands in front of the mirror, hair loose and pale, deciding between two sets of lingerie. The blue satin feels too simple. She reaches for the lace one instead—vivid colors, tiny embroidered flowers along the edge. She slips it on, runs her fingers over the delicate pattern, then turns to check the fit. The mirror shows every detail. Satisfied, she looks straight ahead. "How do you like it?"
