Dora Venter was born Melinda Gal in a tiny Hungarian village. Her mother is Swedish, her father Hungarian. She moved to Budapest, trained as a nurse, and earned her CCRN in 1998. The next year she tried something new and walked into an audition for her first adult film. Early on she shot for Swedish director Mike Beck as Claudia Wenstrom and showed up in Italian, German, and Hungarian productions. Between 2001 and 2004 she worked with Catalan director Conrad Son, taking on more stylized scenes. In September 2003 she returned to nursing and only filmed occasionally after that. Most of her friends know; most of her patients do not. Hungarian TV carries little of the kind of content she makes.
